TRANSITIONING FROM PAINT TO PIXELS
My digital illustrations are very much an extension of my physical paintings. I started to rely more heavily on my digital skills when my husband and I began traveling full time in our camper van in 2022. When you share a 6x15’ living space with another person, storage and table space becomes extremely valuable real estate! Adobe Illustrator is able to provide me with a similar way to explore my “whimsy hues”, but with the added benefit of saving space. I can also quickly manipulate colors and apply my designs to objects in bulk quantities in ways previously unimaginable - clothing, coffee mugs, throw pillows, notebooks, and even furniture!
